I kinda like Hifumi Yamada.
He's a dweeb for sure, and got weird fascinations, but he's mostly harmless (which is more than i can say for other scrappies in the series...) and the one time he did want to harm someone, it was because of a reasonable "taking revenge on the sexual assaulter", even if it was a lie. And his Free time eents are pretty nice, for what they're worth.
Due to unfortunate events, i will continue to exist until further notice.I honestly loved him when I played the game. He was my favorite character.
"Don't cry because it's over, cry because it happened."He's not listed as a Scrappy, but YMMV.The Pebble And The Penguin clearly doesn't have good opinions of Hubie.
I think it's weird that Alternative Character Interpretation says he's supposed to be "shilled" as a "perfect Nice Guy." I think they're forgetting that he's a socially awkward guy who doesn't always seem to know the right thing to say or do. That doesn't necessarily excuse things like lying to Rocko, but I think it at least explains them.
Also, they say that Hubie is only in love with Marina for his looks. Maybe at first, but I got the sense that Hubie became even more in love with her when she listened to his dreams and didn't brush him off. Maybe the writers should have explained this a little more, though.
Anyway, the two main things I like about Hubie are:
- He's socially awkward and sensitive, so I find him kind of relatable.
- I like his voice actor, Martin Short, and I'm glad that Martin Short got to be the protagonist in this movie. He's got a great singing voice.
I think Brainy Smurf is pretty funny usually.
He's listed as The Scrappy on the YMMV page

HqamiliciousHe seems like more of a Base-Breaking Character to me, and I just find him Unintentionally Sympathetic because the other Smurfs go too far in their treatment of him.
Edit: I'm kinda surprised he's listed as a Scrappy, as I've come across just as many people who like him (or pity him at least).

Oh, I believe in yesterdayI don't think the Scarecrow's first design in Batman: The Animated Series is as bad as most people say. My favorite Scarecrow designs are the ones that stay close to a traditional scarecrow look.
However, I have to admit it's not that scary, and my favorite Scarecrow design is his second design from the animated series.
It seems like most people love his design in The New Batman Adventures, but I'm not that crazy about it. That design kind of loses the scarecrow-ness, in my opinion, and it just makes him look like a typical zombie.
I also prefer Henry Polic II's Large Ham performance as the Scarecrow over Jeffrey Combs' Creepy Monotone.
"Humans and robots living together in harmony and equality. That was my ultimate wish."Bump.
I just watched Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return today. Even though Wiser and the China Princess are listed as Scrappies, I didn't have a problem with either of them. Their unlikable qualities were clearly intentional, and I don't think they're too overbearing even before their character development.
Also, I watched Musical Hell's review a long time ago, and it still bothers me that she called the Jester a poorly written antagonist. I think he has a cool design, appealing aesthetics, great voice acting by one of my favorite actors, an understandable motivation, and a strong presence in the movie.
"Humans and robots living together in harmony and equality. That was my ultimate wish."I liked that movie. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted.People seem to hate the friendly rivals of Pokémon... not me though (except Kalos, but even then I don't hate them, I just. Don't find them that memorable ^_^; Then again that's just a consequence of XY being unfinished sooo)
FC: SW-1445-0294-1719/PSN: TekkenGirl4Lyfe/Currently playing: Fire Emblem: The Blazing BladeI'll admit that Juju's behavior in Xenoblade Chronicles 1 can get a bit bratty, but honestly, he's a skilled mechanic and makes some pretty good points about defending Colony 6, so I feel he at least puts his money where his mouth is. I can't hate him for that.
Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.I tend to find them hit-or-miss. I mainly hate Trace from Let's Go since he's a ripoff of Blue, only he's nice, and I mostly hate Hop since he's a Hau ripoff (they even reuse his "excited hands" animation from Sun & Moon for him). Hugh is one of the better nice rivals, as he's never rude to the player, but he can be short-tempered when Team Plasma is involved.
Oh, I believe in yesterdayMineta is a pretty terrible character, but at the same time, his stupid face makes me laugh, so that just leaves me feeling conflicted.
Ever wanted to see the most inexplicably horrifying intro to a game ever?On topic of Pokémon, I reminisce my play throughs via Adventures. I find it has many instances of Rescued from the Scrappy Heap so it's usually the iteration I remember mostly. To add to this, narrative and dialogue aren't the games' strong suit, something integral to comics.
Having played the entire Teal Mask DLC, I can safely say that I actually quite like Carmine.
He/they | Mostly here on my free daysI don't mind Pony Head. Her voice actress did a good job on her. A floating horse head with the mannerism and speech patterns of a Sassy Black Woman just feels amusing and funny to me and I don't know why.
I'm like one of the only people who dislikes Marco Diaz, though.
"Some people are damaged. Some people are really damaged. And then... some people are broken."Many Chrono Cross fans hate Korcha and Pierre, but I'm fine with them.🤷♂️
Aqua Man (the Mega Man character, not the DC character) needs more love. (I like DC's Aquaman too, btw.)
IMO, he has one of the coolest designs of all the Robot Masters.
It's true that his boss fight is hard if you don't have the right weapon, but then, Mega Man games aren't exactly known for being easy.
It's also true that his weapon isn't very useful, but at least it's effective against Sword Man.
Also, I don't think he's annoying at all. I actually laughed at his "you can call me 'Handsome Guy'" line.
"Humans and robots living together in harmony and equality. That was my ultimate wish."I like Karen Brewer. If nothing else, she does not deserve the sheer level of hatred she gets from the fandom, especially because most of it is for completely fabricated reasons.
Oh no! The DREADED AQUAE MORTIS! No, wait, it's just your imagination.I also don't have any hatred to the Duck Hunt dog either. Then again, I've never owned an NES nor have I played his game for long either.
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.I like Zavok
#GetThemFries
I don't hate him either, although the only game featuring him that I've played was Sonic Forces. And it wasn't even the real thing either.
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.I'm one of the few people who like Anora. Is she a manipulative, selfish bitch who's willing to crush those who disagree with her (like the elves in the Alienage) underfoot? Yes. But there's something about her that I find really compelling, and I definitly think there is depth to her character: she loves her dad and does genuinely care for her country and in most ways except in regards to the Alienage is a very competent ruler. I definitly understand why people hate her, but I really like her, and always marry her to Alistair: yes it makes both of them unhappy but I think it's the best option for Ferelden.

My general reaction to Navi when I first played OoT in 2013 was, "Wait, this is the character people found so annoying that they made memes about it for a decade and a half? I just don't see it." Even today, I still can't imagine having the energy to hate her that much. At the very worst, I thought she was perhaps a minor nuisance from time to time.

I can understand why people find Flame Hyenard annoying, but I think his broken voice clips are hilarious.
Also, hyenas are tragically underrated in general.
"Humans and robots living together in harmony and equality. That was my ultimate wish."
Me too, I love using him in Smash.
A great Mascot Mook.
