Okay, no prob.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."Another Big Hit issue with Hard Truth Aesop, though it's less complainy than usual.
- "Arthur's Big Hit" has a few. If you hit somebody in retaliation for something genuinely wrong that the other person did to you, you lose the moral high ground and make it harder to actually hold that person accountable for their actions. Inversely, if you are on the receiving end of such violence, people often won't feel sympathy for you if you have your own history of wrongdoing.
Is this a fair assessment of the episode? I didn't consider it so much of a "hard truth" as much as sort of lumping everything under the general umbrella of a kid-friendly not-so-hard "violence is bad, even if the other person did something wrong" aesop. The first part is basically that aesop in flowery language to make it sound more complex than it is in context.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Yeah, that's not Hard Truth Aesop; just an analysis from someone taking Arthur waaaay too seriously. (If anything, the Hard Truth Aesop version of such would be "people can respond violently if you commit a wrongdoing of sorts".) I was wondering if there was a trope we could move it to, but it seems like we lack any sort of Violence Is Never The Answer trope... closest I could find is Fighting Back Is Wrong, but that's for fighter-on-fighter.

back lolIt looks like someone just added a Creator's Pet entry for D.W. (or, more accurately, changed a Designated Hero entry for her to be a Creator's Pet entry).
- Creator's Pet: D.W. can be this sometimes due to her whiny, bratty, and occasional Smug Snake behavior and the fact that she almost never faces any consequences for such behavior. And yet the show often treats her like a good guy or a victim. She's often seen as the female Funny Animal version of Caillou.
In addition to how the example is written much more like a Designated Hero entry, I agree that I'm pretty sure I've seen almost that exact example listed under DH before.
I remember there being several episodes where D.W.'s negative behavior would be treated as a bad thing, which goes against how Character Shilling is a key component of a character being considered a Creator's Pet. I also don't remember D.W. getting excessive focus in comparison to the other characters — it was pretty common for the show to focus on a certain character for an episode.
Cold turkey's getting stale. Tonight I'm eating crow.Bonus points for the Caillou comparison, as if everyone knows who he is.
Another instance of Hater Myopia.
Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Looks like someone beat us to the punch regarding changing or removing the entry (it was also brought up on the complaining thread as well).

I would say if there's no mention of any scandals, don't bring them up until someone else tries to do it.
