From Fear of Thunder: The Natchez City Cemetery in Mississippi contains this unusual grave of a 10 year old girl named Florence Irene Ford who was deathly afraid of thunderstorms in life. It was outfitted with a staircase so her mother could go inside the grave and comfort her daughter whenever a thunderstorm rolled in. Natchez locals have since taken to visiting Florence's grave during thunderstorms to comfort her as well.
I just love that there's an example on the page for Ramones which provides some links to pictures of Joey Ramone with cats (one of the links appears to no longer be working, but still).
Cold turkey's getting stale. Tonight I'm eating crow. This entry for Tragic Abandoned Toy:
- Averted in the 1947 cartoon The Enchanted Square from Fleischer Studios. It begins with a Raggedy Ann doll being tossed into a trash bin for reasons unknown. A passing beat cop sees this doll in good condition and recovers it from the bin. He later gives the doll to a little blind girl who's quite appreciative of her gift.
I am so glad you are still posting spottedleaf. I saw your entries in the first page and I got sad because I thought you didnt post anymore.
I most certainly have to nominate the entirety of this page: Voltes V

- What Happened to the Mouse?: Jones doesn't show up anymore after the first arc of the second movie. Ripley tells him he's staying there while she leaves for the colony with the marines, so presumably she left him with someone else while she was away (she had expected to come back, after all). If so, then Jones has the happiest ending of any of the characters in either of the first two movies, presumably living a cosy life on Earth until he dies of natural causes.
The image on Tropes That Go "Baaa" is just plain adorable.
More of the Tear Jerker kind of aww, but this bit from YMMV.Pokemon Black And White, under The Woobie:
The image for With Catlike Tread. Doubly adorable to me because I have a fondness for tuxedo kitties.
"Let's hear it for Nine Inch Nails! Woo, they're good!"Even though the trope name comes from a greatly hilarious movie, I must say the couple in the page image for Where da White Women At? looks quite Woobie-ish.
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.Heal the Cutie is easily the sweetest trope on this site.

"As long as I have my comrades with me, I can do anything!" (She/Her) (Current Focus: Cleaning Hell Is That Noise misuse)Today, the TV Tropes homepage was blessed by The Three Wise Men, as is fitting for January 6th (Epiphany or Three Kings' Day). We should make an internet tradition that says TV Tropes will now enjoy a year filled with major contributions to the wiki, level-headed discussions on the forums, and add revenue.
"He betrayed the Staaarks" is not the only problem here.Mazinger Z entry on Dude, Where's My Respect?:
Boss from the Mazinger trilogy (Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger and UFO Robo Grendizer) is treated as a joke by almost everyone. Even Ashura underestimated him, so much so that at one moment, he/she says that he is not a problem at all. This is someone saves Koji's life so many time during the series, and is ridiculously helpful during Koji's fight against the mechabeast. Naturally, Koji is the only person that treats him the way he should have been. And in the Great Mazinger VS Getter Robo movie, after destroying the monstrous Gilgilgan, Tetsuya and the Getter team shook their robots' hands, congratulating themselves for their victory... and then Boss Borot's head — the only body part remaining! — stumbled between them and reminded them, angrily, that he also took part in the battle. Tetsuya and the Getter team laughed, followed by the former admitting that their plan worked thanks to him. Boss smiled, stating it was about time someone acknowledged his talent.

- * Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom:
** Steven Spielberg hated making the film, saying that his marriage to Kate Capshaw was the only good thing he got out of it.
That's pretty sweet, all things considered.
