Should these examples be changed to Genki Guy or something else?
Tweek on South Park: Other Students:
- Keet: Even though his hyperactivity comes from the fact that he's paranoid and scared, not happy. He can still have serious badass moments when he gets angry.
The Space Sphere on Characters.Portal:
- Keet: He's very excited about space.
On WebAnimation.Harry101UK (added by me a long time ago):
- Keet: The Wave Core is really excited about underwater tests. Understandably, he's friends with the Space Core.
Tweek is not an example. He's not at all an audience surrogate, and South Park does not have a female audience.
The other two lack context. Just being excited about one thing isn't enough to be a Genki Guy, let alone a Keet. It's about mannerisms and a pervasive character trait. I guess I would delete them since it's a wick cleanup.
Edit: the second two might fit Fan Boy or Geek, since they're very excited about one, somewhat nerdy thing.

"It's just a show; I should really just relax"So could Tweek be a Genki Guy?
Keet cleanupIn Ben Tennyson's folder on Ben 10: Main Characters:
- Keet: Again, Depending on the Writer, but he is typically despicted as skinnier than average, fairly hyperactive, and Kevin once referred to him as "kind of girly".
The real life subpage is terrible; the only example that might qualify is Courtland Mead, and even that's a violation of Weblinks Are Not Examples.
Keet cleanupLooking at the page, I'd like to just say "NRLEP as a characterization trope", but whatever works.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!I changed the Space and Wave Cores to Fanboy, and posted here about making Keet No Real Life Examples, Please!.
Keet cleanupThe main page definition for Genki Guy still lists Keet as the childish male version of Genki Girl, even though we've established that they're now non-equivocal.
Yeah, that should be re-worded, but I think the description should still mention Keet somehow.
I removed Keet from Truth in Television since a real person can't be a surrogate for a female audience. I believe the work doesn't have to have a solely female Target Audience to qualify, so Son Goku from Saiyuki (nominally shonen but clearly going for Multiple Demographic Appeal) still counts, right?
Keet cleanupKeet was voted NRLEP, and its Real Life subpage is now cutlisted.
I'm back!Despite plugging this thread in my signature, I've neglected it for a long time. But I found this example in Dick Grayson's folder on Characters.Batman Wayne Family Adventures while removing misuse of Ambiguously Brown and I don't think he fits. The folder already has Fun Personified and Childish Older Sibling, which I think cover his personality.
- Keet: Despite being the oldest sibling, this guy loves life way too much.

Keet cleanupI found an example in DJ Yellow's folder on Characters.Rhythm Heaven:
Keet: DJ Yellow is just so full of energy and enthusiasm over teaching his student; at one point, his voice even cracks due to how excited he gets.
It sounds more like Genki Guy to me.
I admit to having used Keet to describe Wembley Fraggle in Fraggle Rock on this wiki several times in the past. Should I go around and correct them? Wembley is kind of a "little brother" character, hence my past distinction from Genki Girl (a trope I admit I don't fully understand), but Fraggle Rock isn't female-focused. Also, if Keet is a gendered trope, Wembley is genderqueer in Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock, so that will complicate things a bit.
Edit: only just now read the trope isn't gendered, oops. The "from a girl-oriented show" and "audience surrogate to girls watching" parts of Keet's description are the only parts that don't apply to Wembley's personality.
Edit 2: ...I genuinely thought this was a new decision and not a thread as old as my time on the wiki. Sorry. Still wondering if I did anything wrong.

Recently, Keet underwent TRS due to similarities with Genki Girl. It was decided to use the definition "cute perky energetic little brother type character which almost always get feminine qualities" for Keet; the tropes were not to be merged or gender-restricted.
With that in mind, this thread serves to check examples for misuse.
