Rules for suggestions: New additions will only be added once per year before Valentine's Day (late January/early February). Suggestions will be voted on in a crowner, and the amount of options to be added will be decided on a case-by-case basis when it's time to vote, and options must have a ratio of at least 2.5:1 (instead of the 2:1 minimum usually used on the site) and at least ten votes to have consensus to add.

I think there was such a rule in the thread's early days, but we didn't bother enforcing it when we started adding more relationship statuses within the past two or so years. However, since keeping up with the thread got exhausting after a while, we decided to limit additions in a different way by making new additions a Valentine's Day-related event done once per year and using a crowner to decide which statuses get added.
I was planning to base the crowner for next year on the backlog of suggestions that came up since we decided to limit additions to once per year, which means your suggestion could be a candidate.

OK, I just went ahead and added the entire backlog (everything after both Twiddler making the list added to the OP and the announcement regarding the changes in how we add statuses), as well as some suggestions of my own, since this is the first time we've done a crowner. The usual rules for what counts as consensus still apply.
Edit: Mistakenly said the backlog was between Twiddler's post and the announcement. I meant that the backlog started there; suggestions posted after the announcement were added as well.
