Advanced Happy Birthday
Considering this is the Pizza Thread, I hope you'll blow your candles on a pizza. ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔
So, I was checking Pizza Crimes subreddit lately, and there are a considerable posts of over-the-top pizzas coming from Brazil. Even dessert pizzas. What are your thoughts on Brazilian pizzas, and why are they more extraordinary than American pizzas, and I want to take a bite out of Brazilian dessert pizzas?
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔I totally forgot to post here that a couple of weeks ago the stars finally aligned and I was able to use my breadmaker that I received as a gift a year or two ago to make pizza dough and bake pizzas.
The recipe that came with the machine came out soupy due to low flour and yeast content (maybe it was supposed to be Neapolitan style?) but when I was trying to troubleshoot that recipe with my parents, they just sent me a copy of the recipe their breadmaker came with, which has always served us well, and it did work perfectly with my machine too.
Everyone in the household here enjoyed the pizza, though even after trying the finished product, my wife says my father's sauce recipe is too thick. I like it that way, but it's tomato paste cut with not enough oil and water to graduate from a paste-like consistency, so I grant that it's not going to be to everyone's taste.

ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔Any fellow fans of Sbarro Pizza? :)
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue. One of the campus dining locations at my school had a Sbarro. It was pizza and it didn't suck. That's about all I remember.
Fresh-eyed movie blogYeah, Sbarro is decent.
What would really love to do is make or find a place that makes a Chicago deep dish.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. The local pizza place I know here in Colorado can do a deep dish kinda Chicago style (they typically do New York pizza) and it’s good but I’m not fully convinced it meets the Chicago deep dish pizza style standard.
I love Sbarro for its size.
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔So how did the great pizza rivalry between Chicago and New York City get started?
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.Probably related to the general rivalry of being two of the biggest cultural capitals of the country, which both have a signature way to prepare (something that gets called) pizza.

Fresh-eyed movie blogI'm pondering if I should brave walking nearly a mile through 30-degree weather after seeing Luca to go to a pizza buffet...or if I should take a bus home from the theater and just order pizza instead. Part of me is opting for the latter, because the buffet lets me eat as much but only for the same visit, and ordering gives me dinner for a few nights...
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.Depends on the price and what kind of buffet. Pizza Hut’s old lunch buffet was the bomb 15-20 years ago. 8 dollars for all you could eat plus drink.
Cici’s pizza? Maybe, maybe not.
Now if a place without the buffet is much better quality, by all means get that.
I used to grab a Little Caesar's on the way home until I realized that for the same price, I could hit up the Cici's buffet which includes a lot of variety of pizza, salad, pasta, and a semi-comfortable booth.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI KINDA wanna order pizza, but I don't want to put the driver through the cold weather.

My mom found a really good pizza crust recipe. That said, we're probably going to order in from Pizza Nova (a Canadian chain) for my birthday party (I'm turning 31) next week. A party-sized pepperoni and a party-sized Hawaiian alongside wings. With 10 attendants, I'm sure it will be enough.
Would want something more on the pepperoni but their deluxe is too wet and they put too many toppings on their meat lovers'. One of the couples I invited is bringing their kid so best to keep things simple. Don't worry, I invited him too.
