This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

I agree that it should be kept on Evil Is Hammy. Wikiquote has a page for Megamind, maybe there's something good there for the latter page.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Perhaps when he's talking to the statue of Metroman just before he blows it up.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Malcolm Xerox has two quotes, and I can't decide which one sucks less.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn! The second one. It does at least match the fact that they are strawmen in fiction.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman'Kay, deleted the first. It's in the history if anyone thinks it's good enough to go on Quotes.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas and Momma's Boy have the same quote. Which page works better?
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas, I'd say. On Momma's Boy it just reads, "I'm an example, guys!" with no explanation on how.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Fearful Symmetry's leading quote is from the Trope Namer, but doesn't fit the trope at all. I wasn't sure how to address its removal beyond just cutting it outright.
^ I cut it. It doesn't have anything to do with the trope; it has no place on the trope page.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Comes Great Responsibility has three page quotes, so two of them need to be moved to the quotes page. I personally think the third one (the one from Fusion Fire) should stay, but I'd like other opinions.
The third one seems good. The first one is more "This is a reference to the trope namer," than an actual example, while the second seems neither particularly good or bad.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.X Called; They Want Their Y Back needs a quote that is actually about the trope, not mentioning a trope is being used a lot.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Could we just say "These examples called. They want their joke back?"
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.Love it.
Given our neutrality policy, how do we feel about works pages with quotes that are chosen purely for snark value? Tarot Witch Of The Black Rose is a case in point. I mean, it's an actual quote from the comic, but it's hardly representative of the themes of the work, and I suspect it was chosen because it garnered a lot of snark at a reviews blog.
Fatal has one of those as well, but I don't know if we need to be fair to Fatal.

That's not a page quote. That's a line to put above the examples section.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. It doesn't matter what work it is. Our neutrality policy still applies even if the work is commonly considered to be So Bad, It's Horrible.

I agree that that's a good one.
That's brilliant. I support it.
Neologism has two quotes, one of which is from Fast Eddie. What would be the best course of action?
Also that would do quite nicely.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!I think Eddie's quote demonstrates the trope better.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI agree.
The current page quote for Insufferable Genius doesn't really directly indicate the trope. It indicates positive assessment of one's intellect, but doesn't indicate that said positive assessment is warranted. I think the following would be better, if only because the wording indicates both:
"If I tell you I'm good, you would probably think I'm boasting. If I tell you I'm no good, you know I'm lying." - Bruce Lee "The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon Stewart
How about House's "I'm almost always eventually right."?
We're not just men of science, we're men of TROPE!
Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
Evil Is Hammy and Megamind have the same quote. I think it works better for the former. A good quote for the movie should be about a broader point.
