  • Funny Moments:
    • The combo bonus created when both ends of the set of balls broken are the same color. It's even more amusing when they are separated quite a bit of distance and you just see one end charge head on into the start of the rollout or another isolated chunk of balls.
    • The final boss fight in New Game Plus of Revenge. All the bosses you fought before were trying to be threatening again, but Zhaka Mu and his chef don’t bother at all. Drumstick Willie makes no effort to hide the secret, and outright tells you to enjoy the fake credits after you hit him. Zhaka Mu himself, meanwhile, spends his fight congratulating you for making this far rather than being intimidating.
  • Most Wonderful Sound: Gap shots are satisfying to land as is, but the stellar "POW!" that accompanies them only makes this feeling even better.
  • That One Level:
    • "Mirror Serpent" is a double-rollout level, but it sticks out from the other double-rollout levels in that it contains tunnels and that both rollouts are merged into one skull, making it significantly more confusing and therefore more difficult.
    • All later levels of the third temple become hard on the PSP version of the game, due to less-than-perfect thumbstick controls making it difficult to play flawlessly. "Shrine of Quetzalcoatl" kicks off the jump in difficulty, and it only goes downhill from there.
  • Surprise Difficulty: Sure, the first stages can be cleared without any issue. Starting with stages 7-9, however, the game becomes quite difficult, as they are more balls and less chances to eliminate them. And things get worse in stages 10-12, as the balls move faster, you'll probably spend lots of lives trying to clearing them.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Zuma Blitz relaunched with a new version called Kroakatoa Island in September 2012. A lot of players on both the official forum and their Facebook page complained that they want to go back to the old version, largely because the ability to earn mojo (currency) during games to buy power ups was removed. Mojo, coconuts and idols were all combined into one currency, coins, which are only earned on level up. It was officially shut down on March 31, 2017, and ended up being a Franchise Killer.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Drumstick Willie's "boss fight" in Revenge simply ends after he takes only one hit, as he immediately surrenders right after. A bit of a shame, since he could've provided for an interesting boss. This unfortunately wasn't changed in the console version's Boss Rush mode.
