• Fridge Logic: Ash learning to speak human by itself is not special; as in the games and anime, Zoroark line Pokémon do canonically learn how to speak English (or whatever the Pokémon equivalent is). What's special is Ash's mentality, with Professor Oak speculating that being a Pokémon with illusionary abilities means that Ash instinctively wants to learn other languages to help him blend in better.
