YMMV / Yet again, with a little extra help

• Broken Aesop: DEFINITELY do as the Oogakari say, not as they do. And sometimes, NOT EVEN THEN. Goes double triple quad- QUINTUPLE for Crypt.
• Broken Base:
  • While Yet Again is well loved for the humor it shows from time to time, the God Mode Sue-ish Oogakari are rather frowned upon by critically inclined Naruto fans.
    • Even more so in Kagaseo's fic, Echoes (Kagaseo) which Third Fang co-authors as the eccentric Oogakari's don't really fit well within the Darker and Edgier plot of Echoes (Kagaseo).
  • Chapters 18-20 of Take Two Round Two divided the readers of the series something fierce. Primarily on two fronts. These two chapters also became keep points of evidence to detractors of Third Fang as for why his stories shouldn't be read.
    • The first issue being the idea of rape being seen as a legitimate practice in torture in the Hidden Villages. To elaborate, the standard requirement for becoming a Jonin in Konoha requires training to resist forms of torture, including rape, something every Jonin member of the Konoha 12 had to go through including Hinata. After Third Fang posted a rant on his feelings about the subject^note That it is unfortunately Truth in Television and not the most vile thing someone can experience, the readership quickly fell into four camps. The first camp refused to accept this idea and outright dropped the story. The second agreed with Third Fang's assessment, but were still uncomfortable. The third were infuriated that Naruto wasn't Hinata's first. The fourth could understand his point, but didn't necessarily agree with it.
    • The second issue was Ghost's repeated slaughtering of Iwa for what they did to Anko and Hana. ^note Basically, after learning what happened to them and that Scab had not told him sooner, Ghost went nuts, put Scab in a coma, and proceeded to slaughter a significant portion of Iwa after his bid to rescue them. He then would repeatedly revive them only to slaughter them again. Defenders of this scene feel Ghost was entirely justified in his actions, and that what he did wasn't anything extreme. Detractors however use this to point out that Ghost is a God Mode Sue-ish character, and ultimately one of the bigger flaws of the story. Others use it to confirm the point Third Fang was trying to make about Ghost, that he's a sick and twisted monster.
• Crazy Is Cool: Do you have to ask?
  • Beyond the Oogakari, Naruto has started to seriously embody this trope in later chapters.
  • For the Academy students, Naruto was undoubtedly the most insanely awesome instructor they ever had, and he was less than two years its graduate.
    Long after the war with Madara ended, the Academy still raved about the week that Naruto Uzumaki taught while wearing the Hokage's Hat.
  • You could essentially categorize Naruto as an awesome Badass Army Until Timeskip.
• Fridge Logic: Since EVERYONE seems to know about Hinata's crush on Naruto. Why did the villagers confront Naruto at the finals on Hinata's behalf?
  • Stupid people maybe? When it comes to stuff like this, stupid people is actually a viable answer.
  • Common Fanon logic, but WHAT THE FUCK was Hiruzen doing when Naruto was attacked all those times.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Teuchi's first meeting with Naruto may be a complete TearJerker, but come, the Naruto Hiden light novel series, and it revealed that their meeting turned out almost the same!
• Moe: Scabbard hates it. Beyond all reason, now that we finally see Scabbard's breakdown in Chapter 61.
  "The squealing… the costumes… no more lace… please keep the cat ears away…"
• Narm: Sasuke calling Naruto a dobe (dead last) all the time tends to kill serious moments.
  • Zabuza butchering his class in Kiri because they were beating up on Yagura. Also, their nickname for the Sanbi, "Shelly."
  • Yugito has her common cat-like behavior and dislike of dogs.
• The Woobie: Hanabi. Admit it. Her struggles and tears over trying to make friends are just ADORABLE.
