• Memetic Mutation: Three foxes in a jacket. ^ExplanationNature Girl is able to trick Wolverine and send him on a wild goose chase, by tying pieces of her jacket to three foxes and having him follow the scent.
• The Scrappy: Curse, Nature Girl's mutant sidekick, is heavily disliked for her smug attitude, encouraging Lin's worst qualities, and for her For the Evulz attitude. Later attempts at making her a sympathetic villain received lukewarm reception at best, due to her unbearable personality and coming in too little, too late.
• So Bad, It's Good: X-Men Green is infamous for turning Nature Girl into a sociopathic, murderous eco-terrorist for the dumbest of reasons (because she found a turtle beached on the coast of Krakoa, choked to death by a plastic bag). But it's so over-the-top and dumb that you can't help but laugh.
• Unexpected Character: Many lesser-known characters have returned and gotten focus. This includes Maggot, Rubber Maid, Wind Dancer, and Alchemist. And nobody could have foreseen Gwen Warren to reappear ever again.
