- The Scrappy: Chet. Mostly seen as unfunny, the few plotlines that focused on him in the second season were NOT liked by the viewers. Given how he becomes Ax-Crazy near the end of season three, it was likely that this was the intent of the writers.
- Strangled by the Red String: Florence and Owen. This mostly came off as a desperate attempt to have a romance other than Todd/Jess.
