YMMV / World of Winx

Go To

  • Adorkable: Naoki, who tries to flirt with a girl using his comic book and movie trivia.
  • Awesome Music: Dreamix is easily one of the best transformation songs in the franchise.
  • Character Rerailment: Much of the Flanderization from the later seasons of the main show are undone, leaving the characters acting more like they did in seasons 1-3. It also brings back character traits that haven't been seen since the early years (i.e. Bloom's drawing talent).
  • Seasonal Rot: Season 2 was not nearly as well received as the first season. Many bemoaned the uneven pacing, most of the supporting cast of the first season being Put on a Bus, the Anti-Climax redemption of The Queen/Tinkerbell, and the poor use of the Nemesis clones. Worst of all, many disliked that the season ends on a massive cliffhanger that, due to the series's cancellation, will never be resolved.
  • Spoiled by the Format: In the S2 finale, the Winx defeat Jim and save the World of Dreams, Tinkerbell is reunited with Matt and everyone's dreams are saved, while there is just about three and a half minutes left in the episode. You know there's a lot more to come once the Winx go back to Earth.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Roxy. She is never seen again after Season 1, and she would've stood up for the Winx in the Season 2 finale when Venomya exposed them. She also would've been a good point for the potential Season 3 as part of Baba Yaga's anti-fairy rebellion.
  • Win Back the Crowd: Many of the Periphery Demographic were excited for World of Winx due to it aiming for an older audience than the main series, with the characters looking and sounding more their age. The art style was commended for using the already well received Winx Couture Style as its base, and the animation has been lauded for being much more fluid than the main show currently is.
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: Winx Couture looks simply magical in motion.
