• Awesome Music:
  • One of the main points of the show.
    The world is a carousel of color! A whole new world! Color! Color! (cue torches) Part of your world! Color!
  • The villain segment from the original show starts with a sinister reprise of the main theme, before exploding into a bombastic mash-up of “The Firebird Suite” and “Hellfire”. And once they quiet down, “Night on Bald Mountain” arrives, this time with even more dramatic swells, tribal-sounding chanting, and war drums. It all comes back to more of the mash-up and climaxes in a spectacular “Hellfire”.
  • Villainous has some pretty epic remixes of "This Is Halloween", "Poor, Unfortunate Souls", "Friends on the Other Side", and "Night on Bald Mountain" to name a few. Special mention to the use of an epic orchestral/electronic remix of "Hellfire" towards the climax.
• First Installment Wins: While there have been variants of World of Color over the years, like Winter Dreams, (which ran for the 2013-2015 holiday seasons) Celebrate!, (which was created for the 60th anniversary Diamond Celebration that ran from 2015 to 2016) Season of Light, (the current ongoing holiday show that debuted for the 2016 holiday season) Villainous, (which only ran for the 2019 Halloween season) and World of Color: One (which debuted for the Walt Disney Company 100th anniversary celebrations in 2023) for many Disney Parks fans though, the original show is still the best.
• Funny Moments:
  • In Villainous, there's a lot of tongue-in-cheek, silly humor as the show goes on since the show bounces from charismatic Disney Villain hosts.
    • Oogie narrates the main story and maniacally alternates between princess or villain when Shelley is trying to pick her costume.
    • When Dr. Facilier ushers Shelley away from Ursula just before she can sign her Deal with the Devil, Ursula exasperatedly muses that Shelley must've read the fine print. The line is accompanied by the shot of Ursula bemoaning how she's "wasted away to practically nothing", making it even funnier that for the first time, Ursula lost her potential client.
    • Hades threatens to send Shelley on a little boat ride...an Underworld-themed version of "It's a Small World", complete with cheap moving dolls of hydra heads and the works. Hades then backtracks, admitting he couldn't force someone to do that for eternity.
    • Hades then decides to throw a parade for Shelley starring the Titans, and he frees them and asks what they're going to do first as in the movie. The Titans' response?
      Titans: We're going to Disneyland!
• Spiritual Successor: To Fantasmic!, as both shows are "nighttime spectaculars".
• Tear Jerker: Well, this is Disney. Especially during the "So Close" sequence, which can literally be described as every sad moment of every Disney movie.
• They Copied It, So It Sucks!: The Chernabog and Sorcerer Mickey sequences made Fantasmic! fans go, "Been there, done that." The former character doesn't even appear in this show anymore.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: This show had millions of dollars poured into it, and it definitely shows.
