David even had to clarify that this was not the case and explained that sea lions were meant to represent a behavior rather than a race or group based on immutable characteristics. The term "sealioning" takes this into account, as it means someone who claims to be "just asking questions" but who ignores the answers if they don't fit the person's preconceived notions.
