YMMV / Wonder Woman: Bloodlines

• Complete Monster: Medusa, upon being freed, murders Dr. Cyber and Dr. Poison before using Poison's serum to strengthen herself. Going on a killing spree, Medusa petrifies and slaughters Amazons, proclaiming her intent to exterminate all of Themyscira, threatening to torture Hippolyta to death before trying to kill Diana in front of her people.
• Critical Dissonance: The film was fairly well-received by critics, who praised its themes, action sequences, and the fact that Wonder Woman finally got her first animated feature since Wonder Woman (2009). However, fan response has been more mixed, with the main criticisms being the forgettable villains and bland plot.
• Funny Moments: After defeating Cheetah and leaving her tied up, Cheetah yells that Diana can't just leave her here...which reveals that she's tied up with the Lasso of Truth, Cheetah VERY reluctantly admitting that she CAN just leave her there, and she deserves exactly what she's getting.
• Jerkass Woobie: Vanessa; her mother was extremely negligent towards her and then focused all her attention onto Diana when she came to live with them, leaving Vanessa lonely and slipping into a dangerous lifestyle before losing her mother. Yes, she turned to Villainy Inc and tried to kill Diana, but it was out of grief and vengeance, and in the end she realized her mistake and performed a Heel–Face Turn to help Diana.
• Moment of Awesome: Diana blinding herself in order to defeat Medusa and wins.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Julia, Vanessa's mother. Though her death is tragic and she genuinely loved her daughter, that doesn't change the fact that she was a neglectful mother who never once actually showed interest in her daughter's life, leading to Vanessa becoming rebellious and never truly finding her place in life. It also doesn't help that Julia never once tries to actually consult her daughter on why she became the way she is, and uses her last words when she's killed to say Diana's name, right in front of Vanessa. Much of the plot could have been avoided had Julia actually been a good mother to Vanessa.
