  • Anti-Climax Boss: Colonel SBD, due to being fought right after the illegal underground fights are unlocked... and the first house champion literally being a stronger version of him.
  • Ass Pull:
    • The ending. A radical revolutionary Soviet shows out of nowhere, bypasses all the other security set in place in a secret military base ran by the top mecha fighters in the world, summons an inexplicably powerful mech fueled by Unobtanium that totals Cowboy permanently (despite its supposedly incredibly powerful EMP cannon not doing an actually impactful amount of damage to most-end-game builds), leading to Shade's somewhat temporary death and the gang splitting up in the epilogue. This is because Shade made a literal deal with the Devil for power, despite Coltrane making the exact same deal, and not seeming to suffer any consequences that day either.
    • GodWorm Showing up out of nowhere after his death with an army of clones that was able to lash Fancy Jack to his Mecha, leading to him losing the use of both of his legs.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: Two, actually. The first is Godworm's sudden appearance, and the second is Le'enfer's mecha. The first involves multiple copies of him slowly taking over rain city before stopping with a him crucifying fancy jack, and the second has a bio-mech show out of absolutely nowhere.
  • Game-Breaker: If you grind for pineapples and max out your relationships with your team and various friends around rain city, you can quite literally access endgame pieces of gear extremely early. Especially noticeably is the Engelbrecht Crown head armor, being literally the best piece of head-armor in the game, beating out the second-best headgear with additonal armor. This isn't recommended, as it tends to trivialize all fights before the literal final boss of the game, turning them all into anti-climaxes, and also eliminates all the money management aspects of the game.
  • That One Achievement: Killing Fancy Jack during Godworm's return is one, simply because most players would deliberately avoid doing such a thing, and while there's plenty of save slots, it's unlikely that there would be a slot remaining anywhere close to that day when players find out that killing him is a acheivement.
