- Ensemble Dark Horse: Saturday and Friday are probably the best liked of the seven sisters, with their actress also saying that Saturday is her favorite.
- Esoteric Happy Ending: Sure, the one-child policy is repealed and siblings will no longer be incinerated, but there's no replacement strategy for avoiding overpopulation. The film pointedly ends with a long tracking shot of countless newborn babies, which may or may not be a deliberate Bittersweet Ending.
- Just Here for Godzilla: The Dancing Bear of Noomi Rapace playing seven different characters was the reason why many people bothered with the film at all, particularly when compared with the story that openly relies on Willing Suspension of Disbelief to even stomach the opening, five-minute-long Infodump and how severely undercooked the resulting plot is.
- Like You Would Really Do It: Like you'd really kill Wednesday at the end of that impressive and heroic chase. Only it turns out that this time, they would, making her a Sacrificial Lion.
- Nightmare Fuel: The nurse being burned alive is Laser-Guided Karma at its finest, but her desperate cries for help as she knows that she's about to be incinerated acts as this.
- So Okay, It's Average: The negative reviews of the film argue that it's a decent thriller and action movie, but fails to capitalize on its potential.
- Tear Jerker: Any time a sister dies — even Monday!
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Saturday, Wednesday and especially Friday could have added to the story by surviving into the final act.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: We don't actually get to see much of the sisters' daily lives - and the way they all embody the character of Karen Settman - before Monday disappears and the plot kicks in. Many have found this quite disappointing, since it is often seen as one of the most fascinating parts of the movie altogether.
- Vanilla Protagonist: The surviving sisters are probably the most boring and least distinctive of the lot except for Sunday.
