• Fridge Horror:
  • In the end, Rose is shown still holding the diary that outlines the cannibalism tradition. This may imply that she and Iris plan to continue it. Conversely, she may just be keeping it as a memento from the past.
  • Another example is the fact that Iris and/or Rose have a decent chance of contracting Kuru disease, since they ate the flesh of someone infected with it (their dad). Also, it's incurable. Fortunately for the girls, kuru is mostly present in the brain tissue, not the muscle.
• Squick: Watching Iris and Rose eat their father alive is pretty repulsive.
• The Woobie: All the Parker kids, but especially Iris.
