• Awesome Art: The animation/production design from the 2004-2006 run is rather unique and smooth for a French cartoon.
• Jerkass Woobie:
  • Bernie in the episodes where he is stuck taking the fall for Corneil just to protect his secret. Sometimes though, he does deserve it for being an arrogant jerkface.
  • Romeo in “There’s Something About Jocelyn”. Unlike the other girls, he geniuenly loved Jocelyn and was completely crushed when Bernie sabotaged their relationship. Corneil even felt bad for him.
• Moment of Awesome: In "Panic on Board", Corneil and Bernie learn how to fly a plane. Keep in mind, this was only the first episode.
• Seasonal Rot: Many fans felt this way about season two, which used cheap Flash animation and Flanderized Bernie.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot:
  • The episode “Who Said That” could have been a good way for John and Beth to get suspicious of Corneil, as they were at the ventriloquism act, but nope. Corneil has the nerve to change it.
  • In “Superficial Intelligence”, the research scientist says that Corneil’s anthropomorphic abilities steam from his 250 IQ, so could this mean there are other animals like him? Probably not, since this is never brought up again.
