YMMV / Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Soulbound

Go To

  • Heartwarming Moments: In the grim darkness of the Mortal Realms... there are still moments of hope, courage, and friendship.
    • The general notion that members of a Binding can come to genuinely like each other and come to respect one another, even overcoming normal racial divides. A Binding can contain races of Order, Death and Destruction, but even so, it can learn to coexist in harmony, something the Realms as a whole certainly can't be said to have.
    • The general description of Bonesplitter Soulbound notes that these orruks generally regard their fellow Soulbound as True Companions. It doesn't matter what race they are; in the Bonesplitter's mind, they were all brought together by fate, and that makes them surprisingly amiable and trusting. It's even called out that other races are often surprised by just how much tolerance and acceptance they are likely to get from a Bonesplitter companion.
    • The Bonesplitter Wardok's description notes that the Destruction races in general tend to really like Wardoks, because they like the funny feeling they get to have somebody cheering them on and encouraging them on the battlefield.
    • Wardoks are also described as being hugely accepting of working alongside non-Destruction races in a Binding, because they're eager to show them how to have fun in the orruk way.
    • Soulbound Ironjaw Warchanters are described as finding their Binding through premonition; they can hear their future bond-mates' heartbeats in their head, so when a Warchanter finally finds them in person, they feel that a missing piece of their soul has been retrieved. Which is incredibly poetic for an orruk!
    • Many Soulbound Ogor Butchers are eager and happy to cook for other races, because they want to share the cornerstone of ogor culture with other peoples.
    • It's mentioned that Bindings which contain ogors often come to appreciate and even share the traditional ogor love for food.
    • Scinari Cathallars normally serve as living repositories for the excess emotions of the Lumineth Realm-Lords. It often comes as quite a surprise to Soulbound Scinari Cathallars that their Binding can help alleviate their literal emotional burden, anchoring them instead of simply using them.
    • During the Era of the Beast, there's something bizarrely touching about Champions of Destruction in Order-aligned parties sticking with their Bindings even with all the "fun" Kragnos is promising. Of course, if they can krump the Waaagh! with a bunch of weak, cowardly gits like the Order races, then that just proves they're the biggest and the baddest.
