  • Hilarious in Hindsight: In his review of the first game, youtuber MandaloreGaming, who is a fan of Warhammer, commented about one of the things he hoped had the series not been a Stillborn Franchise was to have a sequel take place on a more jungle planet where you fight Tyranids. His comment ended up being almost exactly what this game ended up being, something he later commented on when he learned about it.
  • Special Effects Failure: The announcement cinematic has been widely praised as fantastic, but one thing that people have noticed is the scene when Titus removes his helmet, his power pack has mysteriously vanished.
  • Tainted by the Preview:
    • There are some people who are disappointed with Titus' change of voice actor given that the baritone of Mark Strong leaves some big boots to fill. As more trailers showcased Clive Standen's take on Titus, some have criticized how Titus sounds a bit too aggressive and growly compared to Mark Strong's professional and stoic tone of voice, which potentially can work if that is the intended direction they go with his character, but doesn't fit with his prior characterization.
    • In the first gameplay trailers, there were complaints that the bolters do not sound powerful and loud enough for a weapon that is meant to shoot mini-rocket bullets. By the Gamescom 2023 reveal, this is an addressed issue, as the Bolters now sound like artillery pieces going off.
  • Take That, Scrappy!: It seems that even Games Workshop are aware of how much the fanbase hates Leandros. While they refer to Sidonus by name, they refer to Leandros as "that other guy nobody likes".
