• Bad Export for You: For some reason, the intro video does not play in the European release of the game, despite still being contained on the disc; instead the Electronic Arts logo plays in its place.
• Game-Breaker: Unlocking the Slayer Tank (NORAD) or Mantis (WOPR). Not only do they have laser cannons which can destroy enemy buildings in seconds (without upgrades!) they have abilities of becoming invisible as well! Hands-down, one of the best units ever in RTS history.
• Rooting for the Empire: Due to Evil Is Cool and having high-tech, state-of-the-art superweapons, don't be surprised at the sheer number of players who preferred playing as WOPR - the villains — instead of NORAD. After all, who would win in a battle of coolness, a boring ol' tank, or an awesome walker with dual missile-spewing turrets?
• Overshadowed by Controversy: This game probably would've slipped by everyone's radar... had the initial release of the PC version not been shipped with the Marburg virus, which bloats any EXE and SCR file before filling the screen with error icons three months after install.
