• Alternative Joke Interpretation: Roasted chicken pointing out to castaways that Bugs is hiding in his treehouse. Was it really a fault of tangled strings or the chicken somehow gained self-awareness and rebelled against its creator.
• Designated Hero: While Bugs has every right to defend himself from being eaten by castaways, he slips into this at the ending, when he first shreds skin of roasted chicken that castaways got (taking away the only food they had) and later when the ship arrives on the island, he leaves them behind sailing away on the ship alone.
• Designated Villain: Meanwhile, the castaways were also just average folks who got shipwrecked on the island that Bugs was on. And had no ulterior motives for the island, or any natives (If there are any) that live there, other than to just survive. And they had no other option when it came to food other than each other, and Bugs. Whom is within his rights to protect himself. Yet the story seems to treat them like such when it ends with Bugs taking the cruise ship back home after it arrives, screwing them out of their chance to leave the island, and return home.
• Memetic Mutation: "We're gonna have roast rabbit! We're gonna have roast rabbit!"
• Values Dissonance: A pretty mild one, but the book owned by castaways says that natives are diving in water for coins, which maybe considered offensive by Polynesians and/or Hawaiians (given the scene earlier in the short, where Bugs dances in hawaiian shorts) and any other ethnic group (like Africans, Native Americans, Aboriginals, etc.) thinking the short is accusing them of blindly diving for valuables thrown into the water. In fact, this could be the relic of colonial era, when the natives were portrayed by colonists as greedy as a justification of conquering and enslaving them.
• The Woobie: The castaways.
• Woolseyism: In the Polish dub, when the castaways meet Bugs, he calls them "Robinson's".
