YMMV / Vytor The Starfire Champion

• Awesome Moments: The scene in episode 4 "Wilderland", when Pyra's mentor Roo sneaks up on Myzor and covers the Saturn Orb, freeing Vytor from its spell. He even helps Vytor get past the guards and shows the boy how to pilot one of Myzor's hover bikes out of the hanger. Sacrificing himself, since Roo is quickly caught and cast into Shadow Realm. Very impressive, considering how Roo had previously hesitated to help Vytor, noting how terrified he was to defy Myzor.
• Funny Moments: From the second episode, Vytor's eating the plants in the dining hall... instead of the actual food. It becomes something of a Brick Joke after Aerion is saved from Myzor. When King Altair offers to throw a celebratory banquet in Vytor's honor. For his part, Vytor politely declines the offer. Though the boy makes a point of grabbing some more of the decorative plants before leaving, for a snack.
  • During his first meeting with the snobbish council members of Aerion's elites in the second episode. Vytor is again confused and put off by the way Skyla and her people talk.
    Vytor: (to Skyla) Does everyone here talk like you?
  • In episode 2, when Vytor fights the Mutoid robots attacking Aerion. One Mutoid he manages to kick to the ground sounds like it's saying, "you win" as it falls.
• So Okay, It's Average: The show is by no means perfect, showcasing characters and places with very unoriginal names while also clearly attempting to mimic big sci-fi and fantasy hits like Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. However, it's clear from the rather impressive looking animations for both the action scenes and the overall product that the creators put a lot of love into the show, making the resulting cartoon at least somewhat watchable.
