• Funny Moments:
  • While it isn’t stated in the mod itself, the fact that Rewrite supports trans rights can come off as somewhat funny, especially from such a nightmarish EXE.
  • Rewrite is also featured in a variant of the "THEY HIT THE PENTAGON" meme, which, as per usual, is pretty funny in and of itself.
• Nightmare Fuel: Rewrite may look more like Sonic than Sonic.EXE can, but he's still really unsettling to look at, what with being a Perpetual Smiler and his stilted movements. His model also looks too cylindric and pointy in places, giving him a very unfriendly vibe overall. Not to mention how the extended sleeves on his gloves and shoes aren't just for show, as they're used to hold the rings he turns his victims into.
  • The most disturbing part of the mod is Rewrite moving in to kill Boyfriend. After laughing manically twice, the second time looking directly at you, he stomps his foot in tune to the beat, looking right at you once more before stomping his way over to Boyfriend who can only let out a yelp as the screen fades to black. What makes it so scary is that he appears to be acknowledging that such a thing shouldn’t normally be possible. His look at you saying he knows that YOU know it shouldn’t be. And as if that wasn’t creepy enough, how he moves to the beat of the music is like he’s manipulating it, almost as if he just realised that he can play along with it, so he can go in to attack Boyfriend.
  • To make it worse, the remainder of "Trinity" is in first-person while Rewrite starts singing with lyrics besides the "I AM GOD" moniker. And during his third turn of this section, he proclaims that Boyfriend means nothing to him, and that YOU are the one he was looking for the entire time. And as for the Art Shift at the last point, Rewrite uses the chromatics for the other three opponents in the song, revealing that the VS Sonic.EXE trio were never there from the start, and were just there for Rewrite to shapeshift into at will. Oh and you can also hear him using Boyfriend’s voice amid the singing too.
  • In official media made by Springless related to Rewrite, it's shown that he indeed resides in a 3D game. But the creepiest part is that he can make himself almost completely Deliberately Monochrome... complete with his pupils resembling actual human eyes. It's this detail where the animation test loses any wackiness it had, especially with the creepy ambience come the end of it.
• Paranoia Fuel: With the reveal that Rewrite is capable of shapeshifting into anyone he wants, it can leave players scared as to who else he may choose to take the form of outside of his Sonic form. Like, could he even shapeshift into more characters, like Tails Doll or Fleetway Super Sonic, to lower our guard? Could he even briefly take the forms of our loved ones?
