YMMV / Village of the Damned (1995)

• Awesome Music: "March of the Children". Also, creepy.
• Narm: The reveal of the one child who was stillborn could’ve been an immensely shocking reveal, but instead comes across laughable when said child looks like a generic chubby alien.
• So Okay, It's Average: It's seen as one of the better films John Carpenter directed in the 1990s, but still a notable far cry from his heyday.
• Too Cool to Live: Reverend George, a Genre Savvy Good Shepherd played by Mark Hamill.
• The Woobie: Despite being one of the cuckoos, David has a vague grasp on feelings and conscience due to lacking a counterpart, thus is considered inferior by his brethren and spends most of the time acting confused and lost. His mother Jill may also apply, given what she goes through to defend her son. The final scene sells it, with Jill assuring David she'll find somewhere, anywhere he can live a normal life.
