• Alternative Character Interpretation: The War. Do the Itani deserve to be punished for the crimes of their ancestors, or are the Serco too caught up in the past to listen to reason?
  • The Akanese. Are they misguided? Terrorists? Do they have a point or are they just trying to justify their own irrational hatred?
• Awesome, but Impractical: The Trident Type M. While it's useful in a fight and has the largest cargo hold of any player-flyable ship, it's a wallowing beast that takes weeks to craft.
• Fan Nickname: Everything. More than can be listed here, though some highlights are:
  • Itani are smurfs. Serco are toasters. The UIT are trievers, though this last one is uncommon.
  • EC series ships are buses.
• Unreliable Narrator: Due to its Literary Agent Hypothesis, there are questions about the impartiality of the backstory.
