• Awesome Music: All three albums.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Probably the biggest one of the retro-thrash movement.
• First Installment Wins: Black Future has generally received more acclaim than Outer Isolation, but there is no doubt that album has fans. Less so now, however, with the critical acclaim that Terminal Redux has received, which manages to challenge Black Future's.
• Genius Bonus: Alshain, the star which gives the protagonist his immortality in Terminal Redux, is a real star, more commonly known as Beta Aquilae.
• Spiritual Successor: A lot of metalheads see them as this to Voivod, particularly their sound on their breakthrough album Killing Technology. This is more of an aesthetic similarity than a musical one, however, as the two bands sound very different from one another aside from their love of dissonant chords and occasional extended atmospheric passages.
