- Broken Base: Asriel swapping with Monster Kid. Many fans believe that it's one of the most nonsensical choices in the AU, and that Asriel should have swapped with Chara instead. Others believe that it's a harmless choice, and that Chara is far more suited to swap with Frisk anyway. A similar idea is carried with Flowey swapping with Temmie, although it's generally not as hotly contested.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Alphys' portrayal as an angry, muscular, axe-wielding reptile is very similar to Susie, despite predating her by several years.
