• Adorkable: Justin does not know how to act smooth around women and usually ends up tripping over himself or accidentally saying something insulting. It's all extremely endearing to the audience. Candace manages to top Justin once she develops a crush on him.
• Broken Base: Somewhat unusually, there's a very visible and vocal broken base among professional critics towards this show. Many critics outright hate it (see Critical Dissonance below) and the move to a live filming format has only given them grounds for more mockery and accusations of both the show and the network reaching new heights of desperation. However, there's also a very sizable pool of professional critics who have high praise for the show, and the move to a live format has only increased their praise and the snappy comedic timing of the cast. The dual-East Coast/West Coast filming has helped earn some of the critical praise, especially among critics capable of seeing both broadcasts and observe and appreciate the differences (most of the differences being extemporaneous but nonetheless there, including some completely different punchlines and jokes).
• Critical Dissonance: Critics absolutely hated it, but viewers who watched it fell in love with it. It has a critics' rating of 38% on Rotten Tomatoes while the audience rating is currently at 91%.
• Moment of Awesome: Season 2's live episode created so much positive buzz that it got the show a full 22-episode order for a third season that will be broadcast entirely live.
  • Leslie repeatedly choking Justin out to prevent Justin from discourage Danny from having aspirations.
