YMMV / Twilight's First Day

• Fridge Horror: Baby Spike isn't able to grow his first teeth until Twilight grinds up his eggshell and feeds it to him. His caretakers didn't know they should have done this, since ponies don't usually raise dragons. However, some time has evidently passed between the day Twilight hatched Spike and her first day of school. What would they have done if somepony had thrown away the eggshell after Spike hatched, not knowing how important it was?

  • The periodic table poster on the wall of the science classroom in part 24 has several of the elements highlighted in different colours to the rest of the chart. The colours correspond to the coat or mane colours of the rest of the Mane Six, and the elements highlighted are Hydrogen (H), Argon (Ar), Molybdenum (Mo), Nitrogen (N) and Yttrium (Y) - together spelling out "HArMoNY". The Elements of Harmony.
  • Those who can read musical notation will notice that the first five notes of the show's theme song are used as the melody for the school bell.
