• Recycled Set: The various cities that appear in the drama appear to be filmed in the same location.
• Special Effect Failure: The special effects for Hong Xiuquan's Heaven dreams haven't aged well. God has a cheap halo effect around his head. The blood effects and injuries look fake.
• No Export for You: This show isn't as well-known as the adaptations of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms (outside of China), so it remains relatively obscure. Currently there are no English subtitles for the episodes.
