• Even Better Sequel: Odyssey focuses heavily on gameplay, outright giving the player more agency over their time spent in Mushroom Village than Adventure ever did, including a heightened control over the customization of Tsuki's house.
• Moe: Pipi is often adored by fans for being a cute and sweet baby fox.
• The Scrappy:
  • According to players on Discord, Reddit, and Facebook, Chi is an incredibly unpopular character. This is a result of her personality change and because of her initial introduction, where she naps while trying to guard Tsuki's house from robbers.
  • Moca doesn't have many fans either, for the same reasons.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!:
  • The most protested change has been the change to many character's personalities, where most come off as unlikeable.
  • Some dislike the overworld map, finding it clunky to use.
• The Woobie: Rosemary seems to be suffering from something, possibly depression given her negative comments about life.
