• Americans Hate Tingle: Japanese fans enjoyed the comic for its extensive Continuity Porn and playing off Japanese workplace comedy tropes, but most of the Mythology Gags being based on Transformers media not released outside of Japan and the workplace comedy gags not translating well, not to mention the constant sexual Fanservice, cause the reception of the comic to be much more mixed in the West.

• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: The comics manage to do so with the cast of Kiss Players of all things. Thanks to the reduced fanservice for them and now being fully grown adults rather than looking like little kids, the girls get treated with somewhat more dignity. Shaoshao in particular takes on the role of Hot Rod's Targetmaster partner "Firebolt" thanks to gaining access to Master-Braces, and Marissa has become leader of the Earth Defense Command and a loving mother to her daughter Sue.
