YMMV / Transformers G 1 Enter The Nightbird

• Ensemble Dark Horse: Nightbird was only in this one episode, including the later Japanese series. The fandom, on the other hand, loves her, and she has since been used in numerous comics, and has even has toys made of her.
• Ho Yay: Megatron and Starscream’s conflict in this episode comes across like two lovers having a nasty breakup because the former found a hotter partner, turning the latter into a Green-Eyed Monster. Not helping matters is dialogue such as Starscream calling Nightbird “not so hot”, to which Megs replies with, “She’s hot enough to replace you whenever I choose!”
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The ending implies both that Nightbird has gained sentience, and that she will seek revenge. Unfortunately, she never appeared in the show again.
