• Alternative Character Interpretation: Roland and Martin are widely thought of as a couple of psychopaths.
• Designated Hero: Martin and Roland. They act like complete asses, with their Establishing Character Moment involving turning a harmless laser into a potentially fatal weapon just to annoy their teacher. At the end they tape Elise's mouth shut and drag her off. There's a reason they are widely seen as psychopaths, especially since they seem to be smiling for most of the episode.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Ironhide is treated as a Butt-Monkey throughout this episode, which was aired right before the premiere of the movie. So, the next time viewers see the Autobot is when he gets his head blown off by Megatron.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: The junkyard worker is almost identical to Luigi.
• Narm: The way the human characters are drawn makes them look like they're smiling for most of the episode, even during scenes we're supposed to take seriously.
• The Scrappy: Roland & Martin. They're obnoxious, mean-spirited, turn a laser to dangerous levels as a prank, and drag poor Elise around against her will after taping her mouth shut. That they do that last action in front of the Autobots, who do nothing to stop them or call them out for this makes both sides look bad, and the duo even worse.
