• Squick: During the first half, after Cole is mauled by the spirit bear, he learns that food is energy, and energy is life. Therefore, he eats worms, a live mouse, and even his own vomit, all the while mosquitoes and horseflies are ripping into him.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: When it's revealed Cole's dad is abusive because he was abused by his parents, it's clear that we're supposed to feel for him and his baggage. But Cole's dad is portrayed as a Rich Bitch and a Karma Houdini, so it's quite hard to feel any sympathy for him.
