• Alternative Character Interpretation: During the elimination ceremony, Ezekiel spontaneously votes for DJ to be eliminated. Was it because DJ jumped onto him when Chris released the Egyptian scarabs? Was it because he still remembered how DJ's mother smacked him during the Gemmie Awards and chose to do so out of spite for DJ not asking his mom to apologize? Was it because he believed DJ was cursed? Or perhaps because, as theorized below, he is racist?
• Fanon: Ezekiel's random vote for DJ to be eliminated has led several fans to accuse him of being racist due to there being no apparent reason to vote DJ off. While some possible reasons are theorized above, if anything, Ezekiel should have voted for Harold, as it was technically Harold's fault that Ezekiel lost the stick.
• Never Live It Down: The scene in which Chris lets an intern be eaten alive by Egyptian scarabs is considered by most fans as the moment in which Chris undoubtedly became an evil psychopath and stopped being the mean yet reasonable prankster he was in the first two seasons. While previous seasons had Chris offhandedly mentioning some interns getting hurt or killed under his watch, most of them were offscreen and/or unintentional, but here, Chris sees how one of his interns dies helplessly and doesn't even care.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Ezekiel undergoing Character Development after being the first player to be booted off in the first season would have been undoubtedly an interesting way to flesh him out after he didn't compete in the second season. However, whatever potential Ezekiel had is thrown away when he loses the challenge for his team and gets voted off first again.
