  • Alternative Character Interpretation:
    • If Gwen wins the finale, Chris forces her to relinquish her winnings to compete in a scavenger hunt for one million dollars when Gwen refuses his offer to hand over her winnings. However, if Owen wins the finale, Chris waits to see if Owen accepts his offer and announces the hunt when Owen accepts. As Owen seems to be one of the few contestants Chris likes, was Chris always going to cancel the winner's prize regardless of who won the competition or was he willing to let Owen keep his prize if he declined the offer?
    • At one point, Heather has a heart-to-heart conversation with Harold after which they team up once again. However, when Harold asks her if they'll be friends once the show is over, she agrees, but secretly shakes her head to the camera when he's not looking. Was therefore the entire conversation a ruse and she merely acted weak so that Harold would sympathize and team up with her, with Heather likely believing she has better chances of winning while having a partner, especially one with many skills? Or was the conversation genuine and she only shook her head in response to them remaining friends after the show (which would understandably be hard to achieve with people met on a reality show)? Or perhaps a combination of the two: Heather intended to act weak so Harold would team up with her, but ended up touching upon her true insecurities in the process?
  • Harsher in Hindsight: Noah mocks Duncan after Courtney leaves the latter behind and takes the money with her. This scene becomes a bit sad when a similar situation happens between Noah and Emma in the spin-off show, where Emma dumps Noah after she realizes that her relationship with him is distracting her from the game, leaving Noah in a state of shock for an entire episode.
