YMMV / Total Drama: "Not So Happy Campers - Part 2"

Go To

  • Harsher in Hindsight: Ezekiel's elimination in this episode can become this for some, considering this is the reason why he's determined to make up for his poor performance in World Tour, refusing to leave the plane after his second early elimination, which eventually transforms him into a feral beast kept by the show's crew away from home.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Leshawna falling for Heather's fake apology. By the next episode, she's back to hating her and Heather never pretends to get on her good side anymore.
  • Unintentionally Sympathetic: Ezekiel's elimination is meant to be seen as something well-deserved because of Ezekiel's rude sexism, but given how Ezekiel was established as having been raised and homeschooled by old-fashioned farmers, one feels sympathy instead for him as he got the boot for something his father taught him. Even worse is that he wasn't even considered as a target for elimination, but his spontaneous comments sealed his fate in the competition.
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic: All the girls of Killer Bass, and possibly some of the guys too. They are presented as being in the right for voting Ezekiel off due to making sexist comments about boys being stronger than girls. However, while what Ezekiel said was wrong, it should be noted that he was just saying something he learned from his parents and otherwise did well in the challenge. In spite of this, absolutely no one seems to consider that Ezekiel may not have said this with bad intentions as Chris previously mentioned he was homeschooled, hence his lack of good social skills. The fact that Courtney, Duncan and Eva are shown to disapprove of Ezekiel's sexism, though they themselves later make sexist comments in later episodes, paints them in a hypocritical negative light, suggesting that double standards are in play.
