• Alternate Character Interpretation: Was Chris honest about there being a new rule where a contestant who quits owes the show one million dollars? Or was he making it up to prevent Damien from having an (anti-climatic for Chris) easy way out? After all, come Season 2, there are no mentions of Nichelle and Ripper having to pay the fine for quitting. It is also possible that Chris was honest and the rules were updated again for Season 2, no longer requiring the fine for quitting.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Upon her elimination, Nichelle claims her mom didn't raise a quitter. Cue to her elimination episode in the following season where she quits the show.
