- Screwed by the Network: In hindsight, it's pretty clear that, for one reason or another, WWE was never really going to seriously push Funk/Scorpio. Being The Stoner in Real Life probably didn't help. If that was the reason, then it was way hypocritical for them to push the Godfather, who ALWAYS ended his pre-match spiel with "I want ya' to roll a fatty for this pimp daddy, light that blunt/stinky green/hydro up and say 'PIMPING AIN'T EASY!'". However, unlike Scorpio, who was coming in from ECW and worked an aerial style that was not common to WWE at the timenote , Charles "The Godfather" Wright was a company man who had been there on-and-off through three different gimmicks (Papa Shango, Kama "The Supreme Fighting Machine" and Kama Mustafa of the Nation of Domination) starting in 1992 and worked a generic power wrestler style that fit in better with WWE. Furthermore, Funk/Scorpio was not just a marijuana user, but also had a serious crack issue at the time, which the man himself admitted didn't help matters.
