- Angst? What Angst?: Tom finds out after not seeing her in years that Ingrid Weiss stole his semen, possibly even raped him while he was unconscious, and that he unwittingly fathered her son Albrecht, who is now several years old and fully indoctrinated into her hateful ways. While he's surprised and upset to learn he has a son who is evil, he treats that he had been raped by a Nazi as an inconvenience more than the shock of being forced on and unwillingly betraying the wife he loves that one would react to.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Tom discovering that he has a son via a woman who raped him that he didn't know about for years mirrors when, although the idea was tossed around in Elseworlds stories, Grant Morrison made the idea of Bruce and Talia's son, Damian Wayne, canon years after this comic for their run on Batman. Like Albrecht, Damian is Bruce's illegitimate son, albeit the consent between the conception is dubious or dependent on story. Unlike Albrecht, Damian would eventually turn away from his mother's creed and firmly side with his father.
- Moral Event Horizon: Ingrid Weiss crossed it when she reveals to Tom she stole his sperm years ago, as in raped him, and raised their illegitimate son to be a Nazi.
