• Broken Base: Over whether or not Toby should have covered the Assassin's Creed III E3 Trailer. To be noted is that the people who wanted him to cover it didn't unsubscribe him or anything- it's just that the previous trailers brought many of Toby's fans in, and some people got really excited when the trailer came out.
  • And it looks like the same thing is happening with Assassin's Creed: Unity. Again, no-one's threatening to un-sub, but they are asking him to do it out of nostalgia.
• He Really Can Act: Many people had this reaction for his appearance in Black Box TV's "This One's For You, Baby", where he plays a vengeful boyfriend whose girlfriend is cheating on him with his best friend.
• Ho Yay: Played for laughs in his New Years Rap (A Couple of Guys in Hawaii).
• Memetic Mutation: As an Internet personality, he's prone to creating these. The list starts with:

• Overshadowed by Controversy: In 2016, multiple of Toby's ex-girlfriends accused him of abuse, sexual assault, and inappropriate behavior. While Toby denied the accusations, many were not convinced, in part because his story kept changing. His reputation was obliterated, he was dropped from multiple projects, and his YouTube career has never recovered.
  • His career has also taken another downturn with him posting a video of himself hanging out with Kyle Rittenhouse, a man who brought an assault rifle to a BLM rally and killed two people and was infamously acquitted for it.
• Tear Jerker: His first Minecraft world got corrupted.
  • The Dead Island Literal Trailer.
  • Turtbuscusle's death in HOW TO DROWN.
  • At one point during Toby's run of Minecraft's Eather Mod, he accidentally kills one of his blue moas, who was recently baptized as the Murder Bird, by setting it on fire with the Phoenix Bow. The music that's playing as he frantically tries to find a way to put out the flames on the moa as it burns to death doesn't help...
