• Special Effect Failure:
  • The puppetry on the Hank the Yeti leaves a lot to be desired, as it barely moves and its facial expressions and freakishly long arms and huge feet place it firmly into being scary.
  • Certain shots of Hank and Blubber flying through the air or jumping up and down are clearly accomplished with a still graphic of the character being animated over the background.
• Took the Bad Film Seriously: Meat Loaf easily gives the best performance in the film due to playing his character dead straight.
