• Broken Base: The fallout from the now infamous Titus-Vince incident on the night of Daniel Bryan's retirement. Opinions vary on WWE's handling of the incident ^note Titus was first suspended for 90 days, which still would have been a slap on the wrist given that Vince initially wanted to fire him outright. The suspension was eventually cut down to 60 days - and ironically, Titus finally got a shot at a singles title after he came back. from "What Titus did was stupid and he got what he deserved," through "What Titus did was stupid, but Vince completely overreacted" to people who thought Titus should quit outright because Vince's reaction was so egregious (a notable example of someone holding this view being one Dave Bautista), to people implying that an offender on a higher spot on the card - or an offender with a different skin color - wouldn't have been handled that way.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Titus among the IWC is seen as a potential star being held back.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • Titus' accidental trip and slide below the ring at the Greatest Royal Rumble in 2018, a.k.a. the "trip heard 'round the world,". Even the WWE tried to capitalize on this botch, including backstage interviews with other WWE members about it, a Fun T-Shirt saying "Rumble, Stumble, Or Slide - Do It Worldwide," and including a callback to it on the April 30, 2018 episode of RAW.
  • His stunned reaction after the Firefly Funhouse match at Wrestlemania 36, which pretty much mirrored everyone's.
• Never Live It Down:
  • Titus kissing his son on the lips after losing a match to Rusev on Father's Day. WrestleTalk made something of a Running Gag of it by having presenter Oli Davis always remind viewers of it whenever discussing O'Neil.
  • Him accidentally sliding underneath the ring instead of into it during the Greatest Royal Rumble seems to be heading this way. Even years later, it's the only thing that anyone ever really remembers about the event.
