- Special Effects Failure:
- The finale in the sewer features Mulder and Scully being attacked by painfully obvious cat puppets. This is because Gillian Anderson was allergic to cats and the directors substituted puppets for the real thing for close-ups.
- Dr. Roosevelt is replaced by an obvious dummy for the jaguar attack in the teaser.
