- Funny Moments: How you open doors in this game. You don't open it, you lift it off its hinges and throw it several feet away from you, most likely at an enemy.
- Throwing things at enemies isn't always a hopeless gesture either; if they're not significantly larger than you, it can knock them right on their ass and defuse the tension.
- Later, the player comes across a door made of iron bars. He climbs onto the door to try and pull it off using sheer force with little success. Then he lightly pushes on the door, slowly opening it.
- At one point, the receptionist asks if he can play you a song he was working on, a pretty bassy one at that. Saying yes causes him to play it over every PA speaker in the hotel and cause every object on the floor to rock around uncontrollably. He chooses to do this while you're up against the Mother Slug, who attacks if you directly touch the water soaking the floor.
- One-Scene Wonder: The Mother Slug, the Lil' Chucklers, and the Ribcages come to mind.
