• Diagnosed by the Audience: James Elwood is an intelligent man who is seriously lacking in emotional intelligence and social skills. He also doesn't seem to realize that Agnes is not only self-aware, but obviously has a major crush on him, and he doesn't seem to realize that the computer acting in ways that is was never meant to is cause for concern. While he was clearly meant to have some shades of the Absent-Minded Professor trope, to modern audiences he has some clear signs of being on the autism spectrum.
